As a narrative strategist, fiction writer, writing coach and workshop leader, I've spent more than twenty years studying, practicing and teaching the art of storytelling. I've seen firsthand how storytelling builds understanding that leads audiences to learn something new, see themselves in a story and want to become part of it.
For the past decade, I've helped lead Tigermoth Creative, a strategic storytelling agency that works with mission-driven organizations. My work has taken me into healthcare systems, universities, nonprofit organizations, retail brands, businesses and community initiatives. The challenge is often the same: identifying the ideas, values and aspirations at the heart of the work, uncovering the story beneath the surface and communicating both clearly.
I hold an MFA in Creative Writing, and my novel, The Promise of Water, is represented by literary agent Elizabeth Copps. My fiction has been recognized with national and international honors, including the Caledonia Novel Award, and my professional storytelling work has earned Anthem Awards, Communicator Awards and other national recognition.
